Checking the Reel

Now you know that your body cord is fine. It's time to check the reel.

Again, you'll cross the B and C lines, this time in back of the reel where the floor cord plugs into it. Pull out the floor cord just enough insert something thin and metal, like a screwdriver. Make sure that your screwdriver touches both the B and C pins and that the pins continue to make contact with the reel socket.

Is the white light still on?

"Yes, the white light is still on."

"No, the white light stopped!"

If the white light stopped, you have a broken reel. Ask your friendly neighborhood armorer to help you fix it while I work on a reel repair guide.
